Adairs (Retail)

Brief:

In August 2011 ONQ was awarded the Adairs Retail Group digital account, comprising the Adairs ecommerce website and all aspects of the company’s digital footprint. 2011 was Adairs’ 11th year of being online and thus far their ecommerce success had been marginal. Our remit from the head of digital, backed by the Adairs board: transform the Adairs online business and make Adairs the number one online destination for manchester in Australia.

Solution:

With the Christmas trading period looming, ONQ had 3 months to produce and deploy 2 new ecommerce websites; Adairs and Adairs Kids seated on a single CMS. The project commenced in September and was delivered in November. Careful planning was required from the outset and once the discovery and strategy were complete, the creative team set about working closely with the Adairs digital team to deliver a rich user experience which encompassed the values of the business. Once the websites were deployed, SEO/SEM activity was engaged, along with an EDM broadcast schedule supported by our email marketing partner, Strongmail. With Adairs looking to become a true omni-channel retailer, we also integrated the website with the national inventory management system and the Adairs Linen Lover loyalty database.

Results:

Launched two eCommerce websites in December 2011. Increased site conversion rate by 70%. Reduced abandoned cart rate by 30%.Dramatic improvement in trade growth in under two years - 140% in year 2. Increased revenue from email marketing by 120%.

Lumo Energy (Energy)

Brief:

ONQ have worked with Lumo Energy since July 2010, having won the competitive pitch to redesign their parent website. Lumo had rebranded and required a new site to assist in cementing their place as leading national energy retailer. Careful consideration of Lumo Energy’s market segment was required as the website user experience and content needed to comply with regulatory legislation.

Solution:

After the initial discovery and planning were complete, the redesign was projected to run over 14 weeks. This was simply too long, given that the organisation had just rebranded, so the project was rescheduled with increased resources assigned and was delivered one month ahead of schedule. Since the launch of the parent website it has undergone many enhancements and in February 2013, the new, responsive website was launched.  Along with a dedicated careers website, PPC landing pages and supporting campaign activity, ONQ have worked closely with Lumo Energy’s SEO partner to deliver ongoing engagements.

Results:

Increased accessibility with a fully responsive websitePurpose-built careers microsite, boosting candidate quality & quantityCreated state based EDMs to increase website leadsIntegrated data to improve internal lead processes

Ace Radio (News Media)

Brief:

Having worked with the Ace Radio Group for four years, we were approached late in 2012 to rebuild the existing 13 regional Victorian radio stations to reposition the company from a radio station to an integrated media company.

Solution:

With an edict to deploy before the regional footy season commenced in April, we approached the project with a staggered release to ensure that immediate needs could be met while adhering to wider business commitments. The first phase of the project comprised a completely new design which was mapped out by applying best practice User Experience to lift the online experience to that of a news/media site. Designed responsively, the site supports the growing use of mobile for this industry profile, particularly for the Footy Zone pages which display football results for the regional leagues and integrate with social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook. The second two releases feature the integration of a calendar of events and launch of the Tribe loyalty program which has an e-commerce component. Additionally, an advertising strategy was devised to ensure that the new position of the site was capable of delivering a new stream of revenue to the business.

 Results:

Simplified processes with interactive digital formsIncreased media sales with live online booking applicationIncreased accessibility with a fully responsive websiteIntegrated online advertising strategy to generate new revenue
